“Young Lady And Gentleman” Sets Personal Best Rating + Sunday Night Dramas See Tight Competition From Lim Young Woong’s Show

Competition remains stiff for weekend dramas!

On December 26, KBS2’s weekend drama “Young Lady and Gentleman” achieved another new personal best with an average nationwide rating of 35.7 percent according to Nielsen Korea, continuing its successful run by beating its previous record of 34.5 percent from last week.

Following “Young Lady and Gentleman,” KBS2 aired a special solo concert starring trot star Lim Young Woong at 9:15 p.m. KST. With strong viewership from older generations and an average rating of 16.1 percent, dramas with similar audiences appeared to be affected.

KBS1’s “The King of Tears, Lee Bang Won” experienced a dip in ratings with a score of 6.7 percent nationwide. The previous night, the drama recorded an average viewership rating of 8.7 percent.

TV Chosun’s “Uncle” aired with average nationwide ratings of 3.878 percent and 4.351 percent for its two parts, marking a slight decrease in ratings from 5.562 percent for its previous episode.

tvN’s “Bulgasal” saw a slight drop with an average nationwide rating of 4.1 percent after recording 4.8 percent on the previous day.

JTBC’s “Snowdrop” recorded an average nationwide viewership rating of 2.751 percent for episode 5. This is a modest increase from the previous episode, which garnered an average viewership rating of 1.689 percent, but it did not break past the 3 percent barrier as the first two episodes did.

SBS’s Sunday drama “Let Me Be Your Knight” did not air on December 26 and will continue with its run on January 2, 2022.
