“Melancholia” Sees Rise In Ratings As “Artificial City” Makes Promising Start

A new drama has joined the Wednesday-Thursday ratings race!

Artificial City” premiered on December 8 with an average nationwide rating of 3.57 percent according to Nielsen Korea. This is slight lower than 3.63 percent of the first episode and slightly higher than 3.17 percent of the last episode of the previous drama “Reflection of You“. Starring Soo Ae and Kim Kang Woo, the JTBC mystery thriller is set against the backdrop of an art museum that belongs to Sung Jin Group, a major conglomerate that holds the reins of the political and financial spheres of South Korea. The drama is about the greed and ambitions of women who strive to reach the highest position in the nation. 

tvN’s “Melancholia” saw a major rise with an average nationwide rating of 3.2 percent for episode 9 following an average rating of 1.9 for the previous episode.

KBS2’s “School 2021” maintained an average nationwide rating of 1.6 percent.
